Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Percussion Section

The Orchestra plays for nearly all performances given by The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet on the main stage of the Royal Opera House, under Music Directors Antonio Pappano (The Royal Opera) and Koen Kessels (The Royal Ballet).

Tsuey-Ying Tai

Tsuey-Ying Tai studied percussion with professors Ya-Wen Lien, Tzang-Ching Ju and Sarah Tsai at the Chung-Cheng Senior High School.

Federico Poli

Federico Poli studied percussion at the Fiesole Music School (Florence, Italy) with J.Faralli, graduated with honors.

Isao Nakamura

Isao Nakamura has taught at the Internationalen Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt (1994-2006), Akiyoshidai International Contemporary Music Seminar and Festival in Japan (1991-1998) and is Professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe since 1992.

Claudio Santangelo

A true “made in Italy” artist with a solid piano technique on the Marimba which allows him to have a virtuoso performance and an inspired and original compositional ability.
