Statement about your relation with Yamaha or your instrument:
My Yamaha tuba is my best friend, partner in crime, and a great support in everyday life.
How does your instrument help you in your daily life as an artist?
It allows me to express myself in a wide range of styles, and it's so comforting to have one stable reference navigating so many different musical adventures.
How would you characterise your instrument?
So easy to play on the whole register and never fails technically + it really suits my energetic personality
Who was your most influential teacher and is there any advice which you still follow?
I will of course mention François Thuillier (also from the Yamaha family !) who gave me the faith and stamina to practice everyday "2h of flexibilities a day !", but also Gérard Buquet from CNSMDP who thaught us to learn how to ride the beast in us. And I will never forget how Arnaud Boukhitine can mix tons of humor and artistic knowledge in a very accurate musical interpretation
Advice for a young musician:
Always trust yourself and your intuition, but always keep your ears open to suggestions
