Tone

The most prominent characteristic of the P-37E Pianica is its tone. The player’s breath is easily and efficiently transformed into mellifluous sound that is beautifully balanced from the lowest to highest notes. The high range of the brown and black pianicas in particular is smooth and gentle. While the red pianica's tone is brilliant and carries well throughout its entire range, it is well-balanced, with a high range that is not overly assertive.

This distinction is due to the different specs of the brown/black and red pianicas. The musical tone of the brown and black P-37E Pianica has been achieved through careful application of sound absorbing materials, breath flow control, a unique internal structure, and numerous other technical details. A plant-based “Ecodear” material is used for the instrument’s underside casing, so that each note has a well-defined tonal core enveloped in rich, musical warmth.

On the other hand, by using sound absorbing material only for the higher notes, the red model features a bright and resplendent tone. Its tone delivers a presence that won't be buried by other instruments in an ensemble.

Refined Playability

While the Pianica is easy to play, it also offers an extraordinary range of musical expression that is largely dependent on how the instrument is blown. Long tones, tonguing, and varying breath strength can all contribute to expression that enhances the music being played in a way that is only possible with the Pianica.

Design

The brown and black pianicas each sport a slightly subdued and mature design, while the glossy red parts on both sides of the red pianica keyboard add dazzle and impact.

All three models—brown, black and red—have a moderately rough casing underside surface that provides a satisfying texture and a warm feel, and contrasts pleasantly with the smoothness of the keyboard. These pianicas have a mysterious charm that will make the player want to use it as often as possible.

The timeless simplicity of the design is enhanced by the black extension pipe mouthpiece, creating a sophisticated mood overall. The extension pipe can be easily replaced if it becomes damaged or worn.

Convenient Carrying Case

The P-37E Pianica comes with a dedicated soft case that provides easy portability. The length of the shoulder strap can be quickly adjusted for a variety of carrying styles.

Taking Care of Your Pianica

Many people believe that the liquid that drips from a wind instrument like the Pianica is saliva, but that is not the case. It is mostly condensation of the moisture in the player’s breath. Accumulated water can be removed from the instrument by blowing into the mouthpiece while holding the water button. The mouthpiece and extension pipe can be washed with plain water. The interior and exterior of the instrument itself should not be washed with water or any other type of cleaning liquid.
