Extend Your Potential
TRB was born as a versatile 6-string bass guitar along with the greater involvement of synthesizers in music in end of 1980s. TRB has been developed to cover low tonal range with a 6th string (low B), which could not be reached by orthodox 4-string bass, and also the 1st (high C) makes possible for advanced players for further improvisation and expression.TRB has employed a longer scale length of 35" to increase crisp tonal character in low range and great feel for string tension. TRB's low-noise PU and 3-band active circuit produce well-balanced clear sound and provide access to a wider range of tonal possibilities. As a result of Yamaha's countless efforts for innovation, TRB has been supported by many professional musicians since its debut in 1989 and become an icon of a 5 and 6-string bass in the world.
Features
Maple Laminated Body
The laminate body is crafted from a slab of alder with figured maple on top. A bolt on neck is used to ensure a secure bond between neck and body and create a clear, powerful sound.
Massiver Kupfersteg
The brass bridge transmits string vibration to the body wi th great effi ciency.
5-teiliger Hals
Der 5-teilige Hals des TRB6PII besteht aus Ahorn und Mahagoni. Mit extra langer 35“-Mensur hat er Platz für 24 Bünde. Die durchgehende Konstruktion (der Hals ist zugleich das Korpus-Mittelstück) sorgt für attackreichen Anschlag und ultralanges Sustain. Ein doppelter Halsstab wirkt dem enormen Zug der 6 Saiten entgegen und sorgt für stoischen Halt der Saitenspannung.
Rauscharme Alnico-V-Tonabnehmer
Hum-canceling type Alnico V pickups produce clear tone, fer a wide tonal range and deliver a heavy bass sound with presence.
Active 5-Control Circuit
Die aktive Elektronik mit 5 Reglern bietet eine breite Palette von Klangvariationen. Alles von feinsten Nuancenänderungen bis zu dynamischer Klangausgabe ist möglich.
